What makes a game feel like skate.?
- Your input is the trick. A flick of the stick (or finger) instead of a button press.
- Real-ish physics. Speed, weight and angles matter; you cannot spin a 1080 off a curb.
- Street spots over contests. Ledges, stairs, gaps and rails in a city, often with a video editor to film your lines.
- Bails that hurt (and are funny). The ragdoll is part of the fun.

skate. is free-to-play on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and the EA app), PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S, with cross-play and cross-progression. It is paid for with cosmetics; EA says there are no loot boxes and no pay-to-win. There is no Switch version, and the iOS and Android versions have been promised without a date. On Steam it is here.
