The Park: TinySkate Spot Guide

Sunset rollers, kickers and rails. Collect S-K-A-T-E.

The Park is where every TinySkate run starts: a concrete skatepark in front of a graffiti wall, palm trees and a hazy city skyline at golden hour. It is built as the tutorial you never have to sit through. The first stretch is a set of rollers that teach pumping, then a kicker, a flat rail, a funbox for manuals and a deep dip that throws you into a big kicker and a rail.

The three goals

Every TinySkate spot has three goals. Each goal you complete earns a star, and stars unlock the next spot. The Park is spot 1 of 9 and available from the start.

What's in the spot

• The rollers. Hills give you speed on the way down and take it on the way up. Tap on the beat (Shift or Z on a keyboard, the left side of the screen on a phone) to pump your way over the next one.
• The first kicker. Hold Space (or the right side of the screen) to charge, let go to ollie. Flick an arrow in the air for a flip trick.
• The flat rail. Falling onto a rail, a flick picks the grind you land in. Do nothing and you lock into a 50-50.
• The funbox. Press up on the ground for a manual: the trick that keeps a combo alive between obstacles.
• The deep dip and the big kicker. The dip gives you a burst of speed; use it to send the last kicker into the rail.

Tips

• The 600 combo is easiest off the big kicker: a flip in the air, land on the rail, flick to switch grinds once, then manual out.
• The S-K-A-T-E letters float along the run, some of them up in the air: watch for them and pop for the high ones. If you miss one, finish the run and go again; goals you have already reached stay done.
• Land clean. Every clean landing gives you a speed boost, and speed is what makes the second half of the park flow.
